I was going to buy this pressure cooker on amazon.com until I read all of the bad reviews about the product and the customer service. Everybody says it basically sucks. If you want to read the reviews on amazon.com just copy the name of this product on your clipboard and paste it into the amazon search engine and then click on the one star reviews. Don’t waste yor time reading the five star reviews because they where all made by the manufacture !!!!
I’m also researching for the best electric pressure cooker. I don’t want all those potential health problem from telflon coating and made up my mind to pick one with stainless steel insert. Instant Pot seems to be the only one available on the market.
I checked the Amazon ranking. Instant Pot ranks #668, No.2 best selling in Kitchen & Dining. Cuisinart ranks #318. So Instant Pot sells really well.
I also read the reviews. Most bad ones sound very unreasonable. The good ones have their points. Can Amazon reviews be faked?
Does anybody here have an Instant Pot and provide some feedback?
I too am confused. Thought the cuisinart was the best until I read that the Instant one was the best and then read the reviews and did not know what to do. I can’t seem to find anyone who has one to find out. The reviews seem misleading. Guess I will flip a coin. We have more cuisinart things by fate. Humm-if you hear something, let me know. good cooking to you and your family-cathy
I did much research, reading reviews and looking at all functions. I chose the Instant Pot. Primarily I wanted the stainless steel insert and not teflon. The new Instant Pot has a saute’ mode for the insert and that is extremely useful. (You can see this at Youtube.) The whole recipe can be cooked in the pot. I am not with the Instantpot company, I am just a seasoned cook in my kitchen but I really like this appliance and have used it in all its functions. I would give it a five star rating…and recommend it to anyone who wants to use the convenience of pressure cooking.
i don’t know how to cook very well but after purchasing the instapot several months ago i’ve used it everyday. I cook stews, quinoa, rice, vegetables (using my steamer basket), and fish (using the stand provided). i put in the food set the time and that’s it. i don’t have to monitor the food like i usually did on the stove top and if i get busy and can’t get to it when it’s done, that’s OK it stops cooking and goes into warm mode. it’s easy to clean.
